Not two American presidents have been the same. Not in policy. Not in personality. Not in popularity. The one thread that unites nearly every Commander in Chief since the dawn of the 20th century, however, is a little game called golf. Sure, not all of them were single-digit handicappers. Some didn’t even like it all that much. But when there was a deal to be done or a few precious, unbooked hours in the schedule, they could be found slapping it around the local track. In that spirit, grab the sticks and join us for a look back at the evolution of presidential golf style over the years. As John F. Kennedy once famously said, the only thing to fear is Madras itself . . . or something like that.
